Current vacancies:

1. Personal Assistants Required

I am looking for PA’s to take over a domiciliary care round that I have already up and running.

This round may suit 1 or 2 PA’s.

Client 1: based off Magdalene Road. 7 hours per week.  2 calls a day morning between 7.30 – 8.00am for 30 mins. Tea call anytime between 5 and 7pm for 30 mins.  This call is some personal care, food prep, tidying etc. This is a female

Client 2: based in St Thomas:  15.75 hours per week.  Morning call 8.45 for 45 mins, lunch on a Tuesday and Thursday at 12.pm for 30 mins.  Tea call at 5pm for 30 mins.  Bed call between 8 – 830 for 30 mins. This client goes to Age Concern on a Monday, Weds and Fri so no lunch call. This is a male.  All personal care, food prep etc.

Client 3:  based in Whipton.   19.25 hours per week. Morning call 10-11am Lunch call 12.45 for 45 mins. Tea call 6pm for 30 mins and bed call at 9pm for 30 mins.  This is a female.  All personal care, food prep etc.  This lady has very little mobility.

Client 4: based in St Thomas. 3 hours per week. Mon, Weds and Fri. at 11.15 (flexible) for 1 hour.  This is a male.  Cleaning, hair wash, personal care some shopping.

Client 5: based in Whipton 1 hour per week 2 x 30 min calls on a Mon and Fri or Tues and Fri.  Shower.

2. Carer required to support lady in Newton Abbot area

Help with personal care, domestic duties, preparing and cooking lunchtime meal. Experience would be preferred and a good sense of humour required. To provide 1x45 minutes morning and 1x 1 hour lunch time visit 7 days a week.

Rate of pay: around £11 per hour.

3. Carer required in Torquay

Experienced carers required to form a team to look after an elderly couple in their own home in Torquay.

Hours 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 10pm and 10pm to 8am (sleeper).

Flexibility will also be required to cover holiday and sickness.

Duties will include personal care, medication dispensing, meal preparation, domestic duties, shopping, taking to appointments. Driver with transport essential.

Preferably the ideal applicants will have knowledge and experience in dementia care, however experience in care and having a caring friendly nature is of more importance,

4. PA Required in Torquay

PA required to cover present PA whilst on holiday/sickness, for a man with Cerebral Palsy, who lives in his own home near Torquay town centre and drives a car, who needs a PA to accompany and enable him on outings, sailing, swimming, shopping etc.

Duties to include:

Some cleaning, washing, ironing, cooking a meal.

Hours 1-9pm £9 per hour. Lunch and dinner included whilst on duty.

5. Team of PA's required in Kingsteignton

I am a 50 plus woman with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis worsened by a recent stroke and frontal lobe brain injury. I cannot weight bear and I have difficulty with memory and physical tasks.

I require carers for 24 hour care as I am in receipt of CHC funding (now PHB). I am looking for sleep-in workers to help with domestic tasks, shopping, accessing community events, places, appointments, getting in and out of my electric wheelchair, and most importantly, to provide company.

Rates of pay range from £7.20 to £8.20 to £8.60

6. Personal Assistants to help elderly lady in the Ipplepen, South Devon area

Caring and friendly Personal Assistants required to support friendly 84 year old lady with limited mobility and dementia.  To help with personal care, showering and washing hair, getting dry and dressed and administering creams to legs, feet and body.

Ideally to have experience of dementia care however having a caring, friendly nature is of more importance.  Sound knowledge of moving and handling equipment desirable. Training will be provided for the right person.

Will need own transport.

Hours:

Mornings: 45 minutes to start between 9 – 10am

Evenings: 30 minutes to start between 7 – 9pm

Days negotiable to cover 7 days per week.

Rate of Pay: £12 per hour plus paid holiday entitlement.

7. Care-Worker needed in Brixham

Care-worker urgently required to provide general care to a disabled man in Brixham who has 3 months to live.

Required 7 days per week for 2 (1) hour and 2 (30) minute attendance sessions per day.

To work in conjunction with a family member.

8. Care-Worker Needed in Witheridge

Ongoing twice daily care for normally spry (if forthright!) 95 year old lady. Mentally alert. Recent spell in hospital following a fall and resultant dislocated shoulder three or four weeks ago has resulted in carers from NHS being provided after her release from hospital. That service is now about to end and we are looking for someone to takeover on a permanent ongoing basis.

Daily morning and evening visits (45 mins and 30 mins respectively) in Brooke Road Witheridge. Until shoulder mended, help with dressing and undressing morning and evening and cutting up food for the day. Once shoulder mended, more of a supervisory role, including shopping and general overseeing - we would particularly like somebody just to be there while she showers etc.

9. Support Worker needed in Sidmouth

Support Worker required by man in Sidmouth to assist with domestic administration: arranging transport (organising occasional flights), providing support and simple tuition with using smart phone & possibly other basic I.T.; help with managing finances, benefits & bills,

I am on a tight budget so would value someone who is practiced at identifying value for money when it comes to choosing service providers for domestic services etc.

I am looking for someone who is supportive but who would also be comfortable to take the initiative in identifying needs and to encourage me to focus on what needs to be done.

Flexible hours by agreement.

But would look at an initial 2 hours per week

10. Personal Assistant required in Torquay

  •     £12 per hour
  •     9 hours a week - split between 2 days. Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri
  •     Duties to include: Support with shopping, cooking, domestic chores, use of stand aid and accessing community activities.
  •     No personal care required.
  •     DBS check will be required upon successful application.
  •     Must be able to swim.
  •     Non-smoker preferred but not essential.
  •     Drivers preferred.
  •     Must be okay around dogs due to family members bringing them around occasionally.
  •     Must be trustworthy with a good sense of humour.
  •     Previous experience in care is preferred but not essential.

12. Personal assistant to support a young woman in Totnes

Personal assistant required to support Alyssa who has moderate learning difficulties.

The support required would be for approximately 20 hours per week and include:

  • Guidance with personal hygiene
  • Help with general household duties including some cooking and shopping

Alyssa rents accommodation in a spacious bungalow with her friend, who will be moving on to Kingsbridge because of her job. The position could suit an experienced support worker who is looking for accommodation in the area.

The property does have plenty of parking space and a garage if required. There is a local bus service a short distant from the property.

The hourly rate will be negotiable.
