Exeter Library, part of Libraries Unlimited review their accessibility on site with a Walk and Talk from Living Options.
Exeter Library recently took part in a ‘Walk in Talk’ with our Business Services team to review accessibility on-site. This is new service available to organisations to get feedback, ideas and inspiration around accessibility.
It’s the perfect way to have a check-in with what you currently provide, or can be used as a simple introduction to get started on your accessibility journey.
Chris White from Exeter Library shares why he found the service useful.
“We walked around the library which is a building I see every single day through a fresh lens. Looking at things like signage, some smaller fixes and some things that are a bit more longer term potentially…this is really going to benefit us and I think it could be a benefit to any kind of community space.”
What’s included in the Walk and Talk service by Living Options Devon:
This is a short advisory visit that draws on years of experience from Living Options Devon in advising organisations in how they could become more accessible.
We’ll spend around 1 hour 30 minutes walking around with a relevant representative. We identify and highlight areas that are already working well and key priorities that may be the next improvements to be taking.
Our business services website, ouraccessibilitymatters.org includes information covering the range of services we can provide, alternatively give us a call on 01392 459222 and we’d be happy to discuss how we could support your organisation to become more accessible.
