We take action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and to get the services they need. Advocates can visit you at home or a place of your choice and if an advocate can’t help they can find someone who will.

The Devon Advocacy service offers all types of statutory advocacy for adults within Devon and Torbay including:

Independent Care Act Advocacy
Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy
Independent Mental Health Advocacy
Independent Health Complaints Advocacy

For easy read information on our service please download our easy read leaflet.

The Devon Advocacy Consortium are commissioned by Devon County Council and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. We operate independently of the local authority and any other commissioning bodies.

Our team of Advocates are trained to work with specific client groups, and all Advocates have undertaken specialist training.

Several partners within the Consortium hold the Quality Performance Mark (QPM) for Advocacy services, awarded by the National Development Team for Inclusion.
